Diversity and Equality in Health and Care is peer reviewed scholarly journal that aims to promote equality of gender, ethnicity, race, economic class and the region in terms of health and medical care by publishing well researched information related to health issues, challenges and solutions to overcome the same.
Diversity is relatively a broad concept and embraces areas including (but not limited to) race, culture, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender, migrants, care givers, differently abled (including physical, communication and learning) persons, spirituality, and underserved or marginalized populations. Diversity also extends to the wide variety of settings in which care takes place and the multidisciplinary nature of professional practice.
The journal caters to a wide section of the readers comprising medical practitioners, healthcare providers, teaching and practicing institutions, research agencies, policy makers, NGOs and students. *Unofficial 2016 Impact Factor was established by dividing the number of articles published in 2014 and 2015 with the number of times they are cited in 2016 based on Google search and the Scholar Citation Index database. If 'X' is the total number of articles published in 2014 and 2015, and 'Y' is the number of times these articles were cited in indexed journals during 2016 then, impact factor = Y/X
